Doctor Who Original Character: The Immortal

Description

For a long time i wanted to write a DW episode but never got around to fully finishing it. I didn't want to create some random villain who was here one minute and gone the next. I wanted a villain with substance and layers. A villain who would kill without hesitation and yet would put his life on the line to save those he loved, after all, even evil men love their mothers. After many tries, in the end i came up with:

The Immortal. A man who has lived for over a thousand years. Even the doctor has heard urban legends about him and the legend is this: (A direct quote by The Doctor from my episode)

'' No one knows his true name, before today even I didn't think he was real. There are theories that he is the descendant of the primordials, those who existed before the universe. Others think he's a demon or a god or just a clever time-agent. There were even those who thought he was a Time-lord.''

'' What is he then? ''

'' Ive no idea. All i know is if he is real then perhaps the stories of him are real too. If thats the case, in his time he has brought down gods and armies.''

'' So what makes you think you can stop him?''

''Because IVE brought down gods and armies''

The episode opens with an archive ship in deep space transporting files to Shangri La. The immortal hyper-jumps onto the ship and assassinates the security force and the ships captain. He then tells the crew if they don't do as he says he will activate a singularity device (a black hole bomb). The ship now his, The Immortal raids the archives for a complete log addresses. He finds the address he wants and after altering the ships hyper-drive so it can travel through time, he sets a course for Minehead, Somerset in 2014. Upon arriving their he kidnaps a heavily pregnant woman named Sarah Cooper ( who later on it is discovered, is his mother and she is pregnant with him). Claiming that he is protecting her. In his own messed up way.

I wanted to create a villain who in some ways was The Doctors kindred spirit. I wrote scenes where it is discovered that because of The Doctor and The Immortal being similar men, the TARDIS feels affection for him and at one point the TARDIS opens her doors for The Immortal who says ''Ooo she likes me. Don't worry Doctor, Ive no desire to take her from you. Dark days are to come and you will need one another, and every world will need you.

The only subject where The Doctor and The Immortal differ is that The Doctor thinks humans are amazing whereas The Immortal thinks they are imbeciles who sooner or later will destroy themselves and he sees it as his duty to save them from themselves through subjugation.

Later on it is discovered that The immortal has chosen to change the fate of his unborn self as he was raised by an older version of himself and exposed to the time vortex which altered his DNA, not in the way it altered Melody Ponds. His DNA altered to make him smarter, stronger, giving him an Eidetic memory and making him Immortal in a sense (He can die just not of age)

I based his look on the redcoats whop fought in The American Revolutionary War. I also gave him multiple swords from various time periods, a sonic screw driver and a vortex manipulator. I also gave him a V mask, A stylised portrayal of a white face with an over-sized smile and red cheeks, a wide moustache upturned at both ends, and a thin vertical pointed beard, designed by illustrator David Lloyd, came to represent broader protest after it was used as a major plot element in V for Vendetta, published in 1982, and its 2006 film adaptation. After appearing in Internet forums, the mask became a well-known symbol for the online hacktivist group Anonymous, the Occupy movement, and other anti-government and anti-establishment protests around the world.

This is really cool. I haven't seen a full episode of Doctor Who but this character is just awesome. I love the design. I kinda wish he was good guy or anti-hero. The part about him thinking little of humans and seeking to subjugate them makes me think of Loki.
